Vietnam
Day 1 (6/10)-
Not much sleep before our 7AM departure. The dock at Koh Phangan was littered with others recovering from the FMP. Made it to Koh Samui airport a little early, and were bumped to an earlier flight. Flew through Bangkok to Hanoi. Stayed in the Old Quarter which had an incredible amount of character. Ate street food and went to bed early.

Day 2 (6/11)-
First full day in Hanoi. Walked around the city somewhat aimlessly in the morning. Visited the Vietnam Military History Museum, mainly a collection of war trophies more than anything else. Walked around the West Lake. Ended the day with a food tour with Mark of Mark and Tu Street food tour. Great guy and ate at places would not have found otherwise.

Day 3 (6/12)-
Went on a day tour with a shuttle bus of other tourists. First stop was an ancient temple. Second stop was row boat tour through Hanoi country side. Third activity was cycling through rice paddies which ended at a temple recessed into the mountain side. Was a little touristy, but views were incredible and well worth the price of admission.

Day 4 (6/13)-
Woke up to try and eat Pho for breakfast, but streets were flooded from a storm the previous night. Sought out the famous Egg Coffee at a spot recommended by Mark and ate dinner at a nice restaurant serving local delicacies. Bugs were featured on a menu but we gave them a pass. Got a log of sticky rice deep fried in chicken fat instead.

Day 5 (6/14)-
Headed out to see the Flower Market but got there a little late and most stands were closed/closing. Walked around an area we hadn't been before, coffee shop hopping to avoid the rain. Sampled various Banh Mis because they cost less than a dollar and are delicious. Got massages in preparation for our 24 hour journey back to the States.
